Day Tour (lunch & light dinner)

Departing Adelaide from 31 Flinders St, Adelaide at 6.15am we make our way to Cape Jervis and transfer to the
Sealink Ferry. The journey across the Backstairs Passage is aboard a modern and
comfortable ferry. Once on the island we first make our way to the very special Seal Bay Conservation Park. Here walk along the
special built boardwalk to view a rare colony of Australian Sealions. Our guides will teach you all you need to know about these fascinating animals.

After a picnic lunch at Bales Beach,we will head to the Flinders Chase National Park.
As you travel through the park, keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies,
reptiles, and koalas. See the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable
Rocks and Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities,
and the Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal
the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery, and a haven for playful
long-nosed fur seals.

Later in the afternoon there is an opportunity to visit one of the Island’s local
producers. Clifford’s Honey Farm is home to the purest strain of the Ligurian
bee. Here you can buy fine honey and other products which is produced from the
Island’s diverse flora. It is also home to Jenny Clifford’s famous honey
ice-cream.

Last stop before leaving KIis a walk-up Prospect Hill to take in spectacular 360 views of beautiful
Kangaroo Island.

Departing Penneshaw at 7.30pm on the ferry. Wraps & cake light dinner to be provided. Arrive back in Adelaide at 10.00pm

teacher, all transport, ferry transfers, all mentioned meals, and park entry
fees. If you have special dietary needs (e.g., halal, vegetarian) please notify
us when booking the trip.

As this is a tour with a limited number of places
available, please only book if you are sure you can attend.This tour is for under
18 international high school students only.

 Fees apply for
cancellations as follows:

• Within 14 days:
50% unless another student can fill the seat

• Within 7 days: No
refund unless another student can fill the seat

reserves the right to cancel tours in the event of insufficient
booking numbers or due to circumstances beyond the tour operator’s
control.

LIABILITY

While Words on
Wheels makes every effort to safeguard its clients and their belongings, the
tour operator cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to
events which are beyond the control of the tour operator. Unforeseen ferry
cancellations whilst on the island students will be liable to pay for their own
accommodation and food. If you do not have travel insurance you may need to take this out to
cover and/or be aware of the risks.
